WHAC (Women's Health Advice Centre) - Ashington

W.H.A.C. is a registered charity which provides services relating to the health and well being of women and adolescent girls in Northumberland. 

The services are delivered by trained volunteers who are supported by paid staff. A Health Trainer, employed by the NHS, is also based at the centre to offer help and advice on lifestyle issues.

African Community Advice North East (ACANE)

Provides support to African refugees and asylum seekers living in the North East of England. Provides advocacy, information and advice, operates a drop in service and runs occasional activities and training courses at the weekend.

Alnwick & District Citizens Advice Bureau

From its launch in 1979, Alnwick & District CAB has grown into a professional and trusted advice service which works together with other agencies and indivduals to provide support for all those in our community.

Their aims, like all CAB are:

  • To provide the advice and information people need for the problems they face.
  • To improve the policies and practices that affect people's lives.
